Who is responsible
Drift Solutions UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Berliner Straße 69, 13189 Berlin, Germany. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect and why
We collect your name, LinkedIn profile URL, selected role, motivation and availability, plus a submission reference and date. We use this information to assess your interest in volunteering and contact you through LinkedIn. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR: taking steps at your request before a possible volunteer agreement. We do not use applications for marketing, AI training or automated selection.
Providing these details is voluntary, but the form requires them to assess your application. Please do not include identity documents, immigration case details, health information or other sensitive personal information.
Storage and access
Applications are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database with EU jurisdiction. Access is restricted to authorised Drift account users. Cloudflare provides hosting and database services as a processor. Requests pass through Cloudflare’s network; this does not mean all request processing takes place in the EU. Information about its safeguards and international transfers is available in Cloudflare’s data processing addendum.
The application database does not store IP addresses. Cloudflare processes request metadata to deliver and protect the service, including temporary rate limiting. No analytics or advertising scripts are included. LinkedIn is a separate service and its own privacy terms apply when you use it.
How long we keep it
Applications are automatically removed from the active database 180 days after submission, with daily deletion. Limited recovery copies may remain temporarily in Cloudflare’s backup system. If we agree to work together, we will explain any separate records needed for that relationship.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data where applicable. To withdraw your application, contact [email protected] with your submission reference or LinkedIn profile. You may complain to a data protection authority, including the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
