Your privacy: what to share and who handles it

Start with a question. Understand the difference between browsing, chat and speaking to a lawyer.

Can I read without sharing my situation?

Yes. You do not need an account to read these articles. Help-centre search runs in your browser: the search feature does not send your search words to an AI service.

The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Loading a page still involves technical information such as your IP address and browser requests. This website uses Drift’s own Drift interface. It does not load the Intercom messenger.

What should I share in chat?

Start with the immigration topic and the question you want answered. Avoid passport and visa numbers, full addresses, payment-card details and unrelated documents. Do not rely on an AI system to remove every personal detail you enter.

Who handles my information?

Drift Solutions UG operates this service. Hosting and communication providers process information needed to deliver their services. An independent lawyer is separately responsible for information used to give legal advice or representation.

Check what will be shared, with whom and for what purpose before you approve a summary or send documents. Do not treat an AI conversation as a confidential lawyer consultation.

What about the Drift beta?

Cloudflare hosts the website, runs the chat backend and provides Workers AI for general answers and fact extraction. Cloudflare receives your request before our backend filters it. This beta does not promise EU-only processing or zero data retention.

Drift filters common identifiers before saving a conversation or sending it to the model, and asks you to rephrase recognised sensitive narratives. This filtering can miss details. Please leave out names, document numbers, exact addresses and sensitive personal information.

Active conversations, separately encrypted contact email and review copies expire 30 days after the conversation starts. Provider backups have a separate expiry schedule. General information does not require email. The beta asks for email before personalised matching; providing it does not send a booking request. No case details are passed to calendar availability checks.

If Drift cannot reliably help, it adds the conversation to the Drift team’s private review inbox and emails the recent filtered conversation to our Google Workspace support mailbox. If you provide an email address, the team can reply directly by email. Email replies do not appear in the chat. Deleting the chat does not delete delivered support emails; you can request their deletion through the privacy contact below. Asking for a person does not itself request a transfer. Privacy rights are separate from this rule.

Open “Your conversation data” in Drift to export or delete this conversation’s active records. Deletion covers the conversation, contact record, review copy and session-linked workflow signals. These controls use your saved browser session. For a lost session, corrections or wider privacy requests, use the contact route below.

How do I ask about my data?

Request access, correction or deletion. The Privacy Policy contains the formal privacy information and contact details.
