Drift’s public sources and source checks

Official sources, review dates and the limits of source-backed AI explanations.

Where Drift gets information

Drift uses selected official legislation and government information for general immigration explanations. Drift pages describe our own service. A public web page is not automatically approved as a source.

How sources are checked

Each approved record has a publisher, exact link, jurisdiction, review date, expiry and a fingerprint of its text. Sources with missing approval, an expired review or altered approved text are excluded. Berlin instructions are restricted to Berlin questions. Ordinary visa refusals do not use asylum-specific rules.

The records listed here were reviewed on 24 September 2026. Review periods are 14 days for Berlin service instructions and 30 days for the other active sources. These dates are source-maintenance controls, not a claim of continuous monitoring or legal certification.

What a citation means

Drift links the sources used for an explanation. A source link does not confirm your eligibility, authorise travel or work, calculate your legal deadline or replace a lawyer’s assessment. Automated checks can still miss errors.

When a source cannot be verified

An unsupported explanation is withheld and the conversation can be reviewed. Discovered pages and pages returning access checks are not used automatically. Drift does not browse or adopt a website simply because someone pastes a link.
